William Rattmer of Rocky Point New York passed away peacefully at Waters Edge Rehab and Nursing Center in Port Jefferson on August 9th at the age of 79.

Bill worked as a hospital police officer at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, from which he attained the rank of sergeant and retired after 32 years of service .

Bill is survived by his loving daughter Francesca, his loving son Anthony, and he was proud of his grandchildren, Noah and Brady .

Our dad loved teasing and telling jokes. He enjoyed going to the casino, his favorite game was Quick Hits Big Wheel. My dad also enjoyed going out for steak and seafood dinners, watching old Westerns shows, and Svengoolie on Saturday nights. Most of all he loved his friends and family.

Our dad will be deeply missed.
