Order of Service

Norman Edward Baker was born to the late Newcomb and Margaret Baker on

January 13, 1934 to a house full of faith with seven other siblings.

He received his education at Linwood Park School in Atlanta, GA. As a young

man, Norman went into the U.S. Army to serve his country at the age of eighteen.

He traveled state to state throughout his life. He worked as an orderly and a

home health care provider with various health care organizations. A caring and

compassionate person, Norman met several nice, smart and wonderful ladies

throughout his travels. Not only was Norman blessed in fatherhood, he loved

driving his nieces and nephews around town, visiting his family and friends and

spending Saturday afternoons working on someone's car.

Norman loved to cook and feed his large and loving family. One of his specialty

desserts was sweet potato pie. You could always count on Norman to be on the

grill at backyard BBQs, birthday parties and other family get togethers. Norman

was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Norman is survived by his children, Carolyn Harding (Madison Harding),

Dwayne Ingram (Annett Ingram), Demetrice Baker, Norman Baker Jr. (Puddy),

Norman Edward Baker, Jr. (Juney), Norma Baker, Janet Baker Williams, Regina

Baker, Lanette Simon (Darryl Simon), Brittany Baker, his sisters, Daisy White

and Elizabeth James, many grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, distant

family and friends.

all the many expressions of love shown to us. It is with heartfelt gratitude that

we acknowledge the expressions of sympathy that have been shared with us and

the outpouring of love that has been bestowed upon us during this time of be-
