Hector Reynaldo Seda

Hector Reynaldo Seda, 71, of New York City/Bellport, Long Island, passed away
peacefully on December 30, 2023, at 1:15 at The Mary Ann Tully Hospice Inn in Melville,
LI.
Born on November 21, 1952, in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Hector was the cherished son of
Isidora Hernandez and Filiberto Seda. He grew up in Spanish Harlem, Upper East Side of
New York City, attending Printing High School. Hector furthered his education at Iona
College, shaping the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life.
A dedicated professional, Hector served as a Lead Pressman at RR Donnelley & Sons
for 25 years before transitioning to the role of Sergeant Officer at ACS (Administration
for Children's Services), where he made a lasting impact for an additional 5+ years.
Hector's life was marked by his diverse passions and talents. He found solace in
hunting in the Finger Lakes, coaching pee wee football, and indulging in his love for
woodworking in the garage-turned-shop he curated within his home to be close to his
family.  
A loving patriarch, Hector delighted in spending quality time with his grandchildren and
family, creating lasting memories. His passion for cooking was a true expression of
love, as he shared the warmth of his culinary delights with those fortunate enough to
experience them. Hector's infectious laughter, quick wit, and charismatic nature
endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, spreading joy and confidence
effortlessly.
Hector is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Nancy Seda, and their loving children
Hector Martin Seda, Joseph Seda, Christopher Seda, Celeste Seda, and Alita Seda. He
leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren Johnathan Luke DiBenedetto, Ariel
Faith Seda, Elexus Jade Seda, Isabella Seda, Sophia Seda, Kylie Seda, Xavier Nasir Seda,
and great-grandchild Gavin Luke DiBenedetto.
He is also survived by his sister, Ramonita Seda, and his niece, Natalie Victoria
(Quinones) Roldan, and nephew, Geraldo Antonio Quinones. Hector was preceded in
death by his parents, Filiberto Seda and Isidora Hernandez, and his sibling, Felix Seda.
Hector Reynaldo Seda will be remembered for his enduring love, vibrant spirit, and the
positive impact he had on the lives of all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
